Designer Michelle Smith launched Milly in 2000.

Milly was born our of Ms. Smith’s lifelong love of fashion and her travels both stateside and abroad. Brought up in Connecticut, she moved to Paris during college to pursue her love of fashion; the designer credits her inspiration to a combination of her experience in Connecticut, Paris, and New York.

As a then-single girl in New York City, Michelle Smith wanted to design a collection for a woman like herself, who could combine professional dressing, sexiness, and fun throughout her wardrobe!
